The secret treasures of Disney World

This may sound funny but did you know there is a ton of really cool things to do at Disney without even going into the parks? We spent the day at Disney the other day with the kids and had a great time. We started at Fort Wilderness, with pony rides, $4 for the little ones, what a great experience. Then we played on their playground and swings. Then hitched a boat over to the Contemporary Hotel, some great photo ops are all around you. Then we took the monorail, we suggest going in the front car with the driver, that was a first for me, very cool. Then we went to the Polonyesion (sp?) played on the beach, took another boat over to the Grande Floridian, this is where the huge real gingerbread house is, that is really cool also. Played some more in the sand while Judd and I swung near by enjoying the beach and view. Jumped back on the monorail, then took a boat back to Fort Wilderness. Wow, what a day, we had such a great time. Also watercrafts, bicycles and other activities can be found throughout the resorts that could add additional fun, of course for a price, but there is so much to choose from. We didn’t make it over to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island, but cool stuff over there also, lego land, stores, shops, etc.
